Tuscan Dinner Party Photoshoot & Video

This week we have done a couple photoshoots, which have been so much fun!! It’s always so exciting to see the talent and creativity of everyone and it makes all of us super excited for the next issue of Southern Bride!

Speaking of photoshoots, we thought we would end the week by sharing a fabulous video of a shoot we did for the current Southern Bride Alabama issue. The video was taken by Main Street Productions and they captured what goes on behind the scenes at a Southern Bride photoshoot. This shoot had a theme of a “Tuscan Dinner Party.”

Pillow Talk

Pillows add so much pizazz to a lounge area for a reception or special event! The pop of color and textures can incorporate the theme or details while adding a feeling of comfort and intimacy to the event. Lounge seating encourages your guests to sit back and stay for a while and make themselves at home.

It’s all about creating an atmosphere that is warm and engaging-no matter how many guests are there or how large the venue is. With the right design and seating- you can transform any space. And pillows are that added touch you need to make it all come together! Feel it, hug it, LOVE it!

March Into GREEN {1}

Yesterday was the first day of March! This means warmer weather, sunshine and one of earths most brilliant , refreshing colors . . . Green! Green, in all shades is such a great choice when it comes to a wedding. Light, airy hues of green are the most popular choices when it comes to using this color for Spring weddings.

Casual, informal venues and ceremonies are great for more playful, brighter shades of green, while more formal locations call for more of an elegant, somber green. And it doesn’t have to be just one shade of green. A bride and groom can choose a range of colors in the green family. This will tie it all in and coordinate the overall feel by joining decor and floral designs.

Throughout this month we will be posting real weddings, tablescapes, decor, fashion and more . . . . and all in Green!! So get inspired and stayed tuned!! We’re “going green!”

Tuscan Style

A few months ago we did an amazing Tuscan inspired photoshoot at Crown Winery in Humboldt, TN. The setting amongst the vineyard and the Tuscan style villa brought the inspiration to life. Suzanne Dement of Sasha Souza Events was the planner who combined the Tuscan style with the beauty of the winery. No detail was left out and once it all came together, you truly felt as if you were in Tuscany!

Kent Freeman of J. Kent Freeman Floral Design & Gifts out of Jackson, TN was the master floral designer behind all of the breathtaking arrangements. He combined garden roses, gloriosa lilies, minature callas, cymbodium orchids, green trick, geranium foliage and blackberries to create bold yet naturaul arrangements for the shoot. Kent snapped a few photos of his arrangements and we wanted to share them with all of you!

{Wine from Crown Winery}

Thanks Kent for sharing these photos with us!

"Leaf" It Up

As Fall is quickly approaching and we anticipate the beauty of this wonderful season, many brides are looking forward to their Fall weddings. While everyone should “Live it up” on their wedding day, why not also “Leaf” it up? When planning a Fall wedding, there are so many wonderful color schemes and ideas to work with, one of those being something we can find right outside our front door. Leaves can be used in so many ways: on the tables, at each place setting, down the isle (instead of rose petals,) on a cake, mixed in with flower arrangements,the bouquet and boutonniere, or how about jumping into a big pile of leaves in your dress? That would make for a great Fall wedding photo!

Think about how many brides use rose petals at their wedding, well leaves can be used in all the same ways. When the trees start turning you can find so many beautiful colors of leaves, from the deep rich reds, yellows, orange and chestnut browns. It is the combination of all these colors that makes Fall one of the most beautiful times of year, and can also make for some beautiful accents and the perfect added detail for any Fall wedding.
