March into GREEN {3}

Happy St. Patty’s Day everyone! Today as we celebrate this international holiday, we share some green inspiration from the wedding of Emily Lee & Ben Gibson. Their wedding is featured in the current issue of Southern Bride Alabama.

This couple was married on May 22 in Fairhope, Alabama. They wanted a truly classic Southern wedding. Emily had her bridesmaids wear Apple Green Dupioni silk dresses while the Groom and Groomsman wore summer cotton khaki suits and Apple Green club ties.

The Bride also incorporate green in her fabulous shoes she wore for her special day, as well as details and decorations for the ceremony and reception.

To find out more details about this beautiful, refreshing wedding and to see more photos, pick up the current issue of Southern Bride Alabama!

Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie

Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie is a brand of pretties that was borne from the idea of breezy happiness, cozy comfort and easy-living chic. Imagined in dreams, it features giftable, gorgeous silhouettes in whisper-soft fabric in enchanting garden of eden-inspired palettes.

Some of the robes are really great for brides to “get ready in” as well as for bridesmaid gifts. These pretties are also perfect for a romantic honeymoon soiree!

Recently, Plum Pretty Sugar was featured in Blake Shelton’s video,Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.

Kick Up Your Heels . . . With Color!

I am a firm believer that accessories make the outfit, and I agree with this maxim when it comes to bridal attire also. Of course I believe that the wedding gown is the center of any wedding ensemble, but it wouldn’t be complete without the veil, jewelry and of course the shoes, right?

Speaking of shoes, there has been a new, fun, non-traditional trend in bridal fashion and that is colored shoes paired with the traditional wedding gown. I know that I’m not alone in rejoicing about the rising number of brides that are choosing to forego the traditional white and off-white options in order to wear shoes more reflective of their personalities and fashionable tastes.

Many brides are purchasing shoes that match their wedding color scheme and or satisfy the “something blue” requirement. Colorful footwear not only provides for some awesome photo opportunities, but it also gives the bride the ability to re-wear her shoes long after the reception and honey moon are over. I love this new trend and look forward to seeing more and more brides incorporate colorful shoes into their wedding day attire!
