Fall 2010 Fashion Week Trend: Cozy Knits

Style tip? When it’s crazy out and you’re looking to cocoon, what could be a more comfortable choice than a cozy knit? Drape yourself in a patchwork of knits, as Yigal Azrouel does (left). Or go for a dramatic draped collar, as seen at Lela Rose. Want to just keep things simple? You can pair multiple knits in the same outfit, as Cynthia Steffe did with a cropped sweater and over-the-knee schoolgirl socks.

Lanvin's sophisticated tribal: Fall 2010

The well executed drapes and folds we've come to expect from Alber Elbaz were, for Lanvin's Fall 2010 collection, channelled into some of the most sophisticated tribal looks we've seen of late. Some beautiful full-swing frock coats, some full leather outfits, some highly detailed feathered dresses; all stunningly accessorised and matched with striking raven black blunt hairstyles (and as a side note, wow does Magdalena Frackowiak look great with pitch black hair.)

Fashion trends New York Fashion Week

Little by little, we keep posting about collections for next spring summer 2009. Now, it is the turn for Hoss Intropia’s S/S 09 collection. This time, the young British actress Tasmin Egerton has been chosen by the Spanish fashion label to show its collection. She recently participated in a photo session for Hoss Intropia that was performed on the streets of Barcelona (Spain).

Some months ago, Calvin Klein presented its collection for spring-summer 2009. It is based on the geometric shapes and futurism (sci-fi). This week, CK introduced its new fall-winter collection with a more sophisticated perspective. Fabrics and textures are the strong points of this collection: geometric shapes, asymmetric cuts, pleats and soft details that are used carefully. All the pieces are soft and elegant. Definitely, a very suitable collection.

The DKNY collection for spring-summer 2009 was based on sport clothing and fluorescent colors. Now, its collection for next autumn-winter (2009 / 2010) changes radically to show us some designs with a very feminine, sober and elegant style. We believe this is a trend that will continue throughout several fashion shows.

Voted Best in Western Washington's Best Gay and Lesbian Bar, The Mix is one of our favorite places to unwind after a long day. This charming Tacoma staple has won the hearts of many Tacoma peeps. This is the bar people rave about when they're in other bars. We have regular clients that are regulars at the bar and we all share the fantastic times we all have had there.

We all remember a time when if you asked if they served food, you'd get handed a menu for PSP or offered a bag of microwaved popcorn. Now, they're serving delicious treats provided by Pacific Grill but still have the option of ordering a delicious pizza from next door.

Vintage Style Wedding Dresses at Bridal Expressions

Trend Alert: Long Dresses are Back

Maxi dresses and other long flowing dresses are going to be back in a big way for spring and summer this year, and we all should be glad they are. Maxi dresses are comfortable and flattering, allowing you to look sexy and feminine without sucking it in or living in fear afraid of accidentally showing your underwear. While the perfect summer dress should be long (I recommend that the maxi dress should hit just at or a smidge below your ankle) and flowing it is also important to pick a dress that looks casual enough that you don’t look like you are prepping for prom in the middle of the afternoon.
